Hands down the best salmon nigiri I've eaten since Tsujiki market in Tokyo. I've been searching for anything that compares since.

Taking into consideration price, this place is very good bang for your buck. Don't expect good rice - it's pretty bad. This is about the same price point as Kitaro in the Richmond, but the fish quality surprised me a lot! Lunch specials/bento combos start at $9.50, and goes up to ~$15 for 8 piece chef's choice nigiri. They also have a random one page menu of hand rolls, maki rolls, and beer for discounted prices which you can order 1 item per $20 spent on other foods. Staff was very nice on a Sunday for lunch. Not sure how they would manage during a busy Friday night though.

This review is purely on the takeout of Chirashi that I had last night. I have no idea what the food is like in the restaurant, but it did look pretty good.I had always wanted to eat here and I saw the living social deal last night for 10 bucks off so I decided to try it. It says 16 pieces of assorted sashimi on sushi rice on their menu.I'm thinking wow, 13.99 sounds like a steal! And it was, they literally stole my money with this! I guess it didn't say how big the pieces were going to be, but I expected more than quarter sized pieces of fish. On top of that the snapper was extremely fishy, I"m not even sure I should of eaten it.I've had better quality fish from sushi bought from Raleys. Thanks for ruining my night!

The best quality sushi for sensible money in the city. Very friendly. Prepared as you order. We go nearly weekly. Saki menu worth investigating and the specials menu is often interesting to investigate.

I ate here a couple times before, mostly Udon, so I can't much about their other foods. But in general, I can say that the prices are high compared to what you get. You get small portions, and mediocore food. I think you are paying more for the atmosphere than the food, but I remember walking about thinking I could have eaten two bowls of noodle instead of one.

It's decent sushi, but sometimes the service gets a little annoying like they rush you and that's not good, you can't enjoy your food if being rushed. Also, one time I came here they took forever to bring our food and didn't even apologize.

I've lived two blocks from this place for a year and a half but was hesitant to visit due to the reviews. Well, I was hungry tonight and not much was open, so I gave it a shot. Incredible! Can't believe I waited this long to go! The service was excellent and very informed about the menu! The sushi was delicious. They had toro. Not the cheapest, but it was delicious, and not many places have toro! I recommend!

It's worth trying to see if you like it. Some people love it, others don't. It's one of my personal favorites.

I've only had their nigiri sushi and their rolls, both are a cut above most others. The nigiri pieces are particularly generous. The staff are very pleasant and the decor warm and inviting.

Food: 1 star. Service: 5 stars. Ordered: a $15 double hamachi roll. See pic. All rice. Barely any hamachi. I'm afraid of what the single hamachi would have been. Conclusion: I'd rather go to Nebraska for sushi than this place again.
